The Windler

The windler is a small creature hapitating the jungles from the forest floor to the tree tops, It has adapted to the forest with a mimic tail of a poisonous plant so predators would avoid to eat them, aswell as skin tissue that acts as a parachute for when they shift from one tree to another or when they go to the ground floor once again to rest.

Windlers are nocturnal but can be awake small times a day if nessesary, could be to get away from predators, floods or other that could indanger the animal.

Omnivore
The Windlers are omnivores, living of the insectes and small creatures that lives upon the trees on or beneath the tree bark, aswell as the leafes from the very top of the trees due to the high flavor and vitamins they'll have with the many hours of sunlight they receive throughout the day, newly sprouted leaves are also a very common type they go after for the sweet taste they have. They have a long tongue to reach up and Wrap around the leafs they want to eat from the top, usually in places where the banches are too think like sticks where they can risk of falling, It's like a tong the Giraff has to reach the leafs on tall trees where they normally wouldnt be able to reach by itself.

Minic Tail Flower
The tail is a mimic of a known poisonous flower that growns on tree roots and the ground near rivers and ponds, The actual flower known as "Peirofila" is a nerve poisonous flower, It's poison acts like snail bait, which targets the nerve system and slowly breaks it down over time. the Windlers are naturally immune to this poison but can carry it when always sleeping/hiding by them, due to the pollen (the poisonous part) can dust onto them making them poisonous like rats in a sewer.

Windler's Look
Windlers come in the same common Green pattern on most of their body, The flower Mimic tail is always the same but can be mutated with extra antennas (Pollen threats), Their Belly and inner ears come in 4 different colors all depending upon the amount the mother has eaten of leafs and insects while pregnate (from left to right on image) Just Insects - Most insects - Mostly Leafs - Just leafsWindlers are around 1'2 ft tall on average when sitting down, and ranges uo to 2 ft from tail tip to the top of the head.
They're born with 2 sets of eyes, The big set are for the Night and the small ones for the day time, Both set are always open when awake but the night eyes has a 2nd eyelid like a pair of sunglasses to protect them from the bright sunlight.
The 8 antennas and the 4 leaf like flaps all are bioluminescent and glow when sleeping, when awake they still glow but at a low point.
They're equipped with 2 claws on each paw and 2 small + 1 Large on their feet paws for a great grip on all sorts of trees in the jungle.
Their ears are Large and fluffy to both being able to hear predators on long distances aswell as to use as a blanket when resting underground in the cold times.

Winder's Young
The Windlers Young are called "Chicks", They're born in Eggs, burried undergorund in a pocket filled with leafs from the tree tops and it's own fur as a warm nest, The eggs are Colored Just like the look they'll gain when hatched with pastels of the same color as spots over the surface. when hatched the chicks will not have the Mimic flower just yet, It will stay as a flower bulb until they hit maturehood and it will "Bloom", which is also the time their skin tissue for "flying" has gained its full size and stretch. This occurs around 3 weeks after they're born, tho they will not find a mate untill they're 2 months old.

Windler's personality
Windlers are Sorta friendly, They have a mix personality of a Squirrel and a Crow, They're on edge to keep from danger, but remembers faces Very well and will trust the individual if they've done something nice over a few times for the windler, can be saving them from a predator, help them get unstuck from trees and other places aswell as giving them fresh feed.
